
Mental Strength for Athletes founder Mike Fecht is a seasoned health and fitness professional with over three decades of experience in the industry. A former college baseball player, Mike began his career in corporate wellness during his college years. In 1997, he launched his own personal training business and later joined Crunch Fitness in 2000, where he advanced to National Supervisor over a six-year tenure.
Mike is a continuing education provider for Yoga Alliance (YACEP) and is trained in Mindfulness for Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE). He has worked with elite athletes across the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, as well as countless high-level amateur athletes and business executives, helping them develop the mental strength needed to perform at their best.
A passionate advocate for mental resilience and mindfulness, Mike has shared his journey of healing through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness at major platforms, including the Southeastern Yoga Conference in Atlanta (2012) and TEDx Tampa Bay (2015). He was also featured on the television show NFL Rush, where he led yoga sessions for Miami Dolphins players.
In 2023, Mike self-published his memoir, An Unlikely Yogi – A Tale of Grief and Post-Traumatic Growth, detailing his personal story of resilience in the face of unimaginable tragedy and the profound healing power of yoga and mindfulness in his life.
Mike believes that a regular mindfulness practice, incorporating meditation, yoga, and other mindful activities, is a superpower—the key to unlocking the zone both in competition and in daily life. Through Mental Strength for Athletes, he empowers individuals to harness this potential, helping them develop unshakable focus, confidence, and resilience to excel in sports and beyond.
